Preparing your property for the photoshoot is very important in making sure you will get the best photos possible.
Indoors
-Clean well
-Declutter (hide, hide, hide! Decluttering is even more important than cleaning)
-Completely clear kitchen counter tops, leave out only minimal appliances.
-Remove pet toys, bowls, and beds
-Put children's toys away. Remove or hide children's furniture.
-Clear the bathroom counter tops and shower - remove soap, toothbrushes, shampoo bottles, etc. from view.
-remove any unnecessary furniture (We want to show how open and spacious your home is).
-remove any personal or valuable items you do not want on the internet
-Turn on all lights; fans off (please replace any burned out bulbs)
-Open window coverings (unless they are concealing a less than desirable view)
-Place any decorative items, plants, or floral arrangements.
Exteriors
-Remove trash cans, gardening tools, etc from sight.
-Stow children's and pet's toys.
-Sweep driveways and sidewalks.
-Coil hoses.
-Open patio umbrellas and set out cushions - Or remove umbrellas all together.
-Uncover bbqs, pools, spas.
-Vehicles: remove from driveways, DO NOT park in front of the house.
-DO park in front or put trash cans in front if it is a busy street to ensure no one else parks there and we get an unobstructed view.
Remember, Media Carrot Photography photographs as-is. If you don't like the look of something, make sure move it to the best of your ability.
